Anne NielsenIndustrial PhD Student
Anne completed her master in collaboration with Kim Mouridsen with a thesis entitled “New Methods for Finding Event Related Brain Activity Using fMRI”.
Afterwards, Anne was employed at Cercare Medical in October 2015. Anne’s work has been focused on the use of artificial convolutional neural networks to predict the final outcome of acute ischemic stroke. She has conducted a pilot study showing promising results compared to existing state-of-the-art methods.
In February 2017, Anne started as an Industrial PhD student at Cercare Medical and Aarhus University. The project is entitled “Convolutional Neural Network Based Prediction of Acute Stroke Response to Treatment” and will focus on further development of the artificial neural network from the pilot study. The Industrial PhD project is funded jointly by Cercare Medical and Innovation Fund Denmark.
